Charlotte Based Atom Power Lands SIEMENS Funding

Last week, Robertson and Associates and its associate, Wesley Howell, announced that it successfully represented Charlotte-based Atom Power in an investment deal with Siemens Venture Capital, a division of Siemens AG.

In a ceremony at UNCC’s PORTAL Building, Atom Power announced its company received funding from Siemens, known worldwide to be on the forefront of energy innovation. “Siemens is dedicated to developing the safest, most reliable electrical distribution equipment in the industry and will continue to leverage partnerships and collaboration to move industries forward,” said Terry Royer, Siemens VP of Operations and Product Development. “The investment will accelerate Atom Power’s initiatives towards achieving Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL) listing and for development of higher amperage circuit breakers currently on their trajectory,” he concluded.

Atom Power, founded in 2014, has successfully created commercial and industrial viable circuit breakers. “For decades, circuit breakers and panels have been mostly mechanical in nature with limited control points,” said Ryan Kennedy, CEO of Atom Power.  “We have developed dynamic circuit breakers that make electricity safe by preventing arc flash hazards.”  “Atom Power will take circuit breaker products into the mainstream markets and continue to develop products that save lives and make the world a better place.”
